Hex Signs: Sacred and Celestial Symbolism in Pennsylvania Dutch Barn Stars

Borrowing from the tradition when farmers and other dutch folks placed hex signs on barns, homes, and other buildings out of superstition. 
​The signs were intended to protect the structures and things inside of them from misfortune.
