Primitive, yet contemporary farm folk-art is what best describes these uniquely crafted HEX objects.
I am inspired by my surroundings and the people I meet in the quaint river front town of Stillwater, Minnesota.
As a graphic designer I am attentive to form and color. As an artist, my work is thoughtful and embedded with symbolism.
Borrowing from Pennsylvania Dutch tradition, HEXobjects are intended to bring goodness and protection. Each HEX is designed with a personal and symbolic message, unique to the keeper of the HEX.
Each HEX object is framed with an authentic bourbon barrel ring. Dimensions of each Hex object range from 20 -22 inches. Backs are signed by artist, with a mention of the symbolism. HEX objects are painted with exterior grade paint and are top coated with a marine varnish on 1/2” high-grade plywood and wrapped with a re-purposed, floating, bourbon-barrel ring, fastened with metal mounts at 4 points.
Custom HEX objects can be ordered. Make it personal.

4 Seasons for a Friend HEX/object custom design
Each quadrant represents a season; Spring, summer, winter and fall. The procession of these seasons is deeply symbolic in and of itself, as it speaks to us of the natural transitions of our planet and of life in general. It also draws a connective bridge between the seemingly simple events in our daily lives and the greater universal ones.
